Cardiff Design Festival 2012 – Awards

October 7, 2012

Yesterday I attended the Cardiff Design Festival Awards at The Coal Exchange in Cardiff Bay. This year they opened up the submissions to illustrators as well as designers and I managed to pick up an award for my work with the Queen’s Dragoon Guards in Afghanistan. Below are pictures of the award certificate; the teapot I received as a prize; and a sketch I made during a interesting and honest talk by Bethan Gray, furniture designer. Also enjoyed a drink and a chat with Olwen Mosley, the festival organiser, Richard Webb, of See What you Mean and Tomas Roope of the Rumpus Room after the awards ceremony. The design festival is still going on at venues all over Cardiff.
