Lauren Nicholas – Guardian Young Documentary Film-maker runner up

May 17, 2013

My friend and fellow ex-student, Lauren Nicholas, has had one of her animations highly commended by a bunch of clever judges in a film making competition organised by The Intergenrational Foundation, the Guardian and the National Union of Students. The brief was: produce a film that tells us your  views on the big picture or gives us a perfectly formed snapshot of your own experiences. Lauren’s film was one of two highly commended in the Documentary category.

Life after Uni is Lauren Nicholas’s highly commended animation in the Intergenerational Foundation young film-makers’ short film competition in association with the Guardian and the National Union of Students. It tells in an imaginative way the story of Lauren and her friends’ difficulties in finding a job after graduating.

The Guardian.
